LET IT RAIN...

Here comes the rain again, as I take another journey in life alone,

Heaven must have taken mercy on me, weeping on my behalf,

The Lord must be sad to see my heart broken all over again,

So, He said to the clouds, “Let it rain, for Joy is in despair…

Let the sound of her weeping be drowned in the drops of rain.”

The sweet sound of raindrops eases my heartaches and pain,

I can hear them say, “Come out and play with us like before,

(Pitter, patter, pitter, patter) come play, come play in the rain,

No need for you to cry, we are here to wash away your tears,

We will see you through, until your pain is gone.”

My heart weeps in the rain, my only companion in times of pain,

The Lord knows how I love the rain, a friend to cry with, all day,

In the rain, the Lord says, “People may betray you and hurt you, but not I,

I let it rain, to let you know you’re not alone. I your Lord, your Keeper is here,

I'll be your rainbow, your silver lining after the rain.

Let it rain Oh Lord, until there’s no more tears to drop,

Let the clouds hide my despair and the rain silence my weeping,

Let it rain Oh Lord, until all my sadness are washed away,

Let the rain drown all the lies and all the hurting words in my memory,

Let it rain, until my heart starts yearning for the sun to shine again.
