"Finding Joy..."
What does it mean to find Joy?
Does it mean, your depressive state of mind has finally come to end?
Does it mean, happiness is upon you, at last?
What does it really mean to have Joy in your life?
Does finding Joy really mean something so grand?
Words, sometimes, are misleading
If you're not too careful, it can easily go wrong
Good intention with wrong choice of words could hurt like a stabbing knife
Kind words could easily be misunderstood as something more
Something more than what you really intend to portray.
"Finding Joy..."
As I recall those times that inspired you to say those words
I could not help but notice the way you expressed your feelings in written words
If the joy you felt those times was true
I wonder what has changed in you since finding Joy?
Or, were those words just an expression lacking careful thought?
Or, was it nothing more than just a spur-of-the-moment joy?
If the Joy you claim to have found was true
Have you kept her heart safe in the most sacred place she deserves?
Perhaps, my understanding has been blurred with tears
For this Joy you once found is heartbroken and lost again.
